Emcyte Pure (Platelet Rich Plasma)

About Emcyte Pure (Platelet Rich Plasma)

Emcyte Pure, also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), is a medical treatment that enhances collagen production, improves skin texture and tone, promotes hair growth, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Overview

Emcyte Pure is performed by extracting of a small amount of blood, typically from your arm. The blood is then processed using a specialised centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from other blood components.

These platelets are blood cells that contain growth factors and bioactive proteins essential for tissue repair and healing. This platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the target area to stimulate your body’s natural healing process.

Emcyte is the world leader in Platelet Rich Plasma. Their system utilises a high-tech German centrifuge which produces a Platelet Rich Plasma that is 7 times more concentrated than most other companies.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A small amount of blood will be drawn from your arm, similar to a routine blood test. If you have difficulty providing blood for medical testing, this treatment may not be suitable for you.

An anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area that will be treated to minimise potential discomfort.

The collected blood will undergo a two-step spinning process using the advanced German centrifuge.

The prepared Emcyte Pure PRP will be injected into the targeted area. The injection technique and depth will vary dependant on the purpose of the treatment, i.e. skin rejuvenation or hair restoration.

For Facial treatments Dr. Holmes uses her own multilayer approach, covering the tissues from the bone up to the very top layers of the skin.

During the treatment, you may experience some sensations such as pressure, mild stinging, or discomfort. However, the application of anaesthetic cream and the expertise of Dr Kathryn will ensure discomfort is kept to a minimum.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR TREATMENT

Staying well hydrated is important, both before and after your treatment. Where possible, avoid things that will make you prone to bruising (i.e. aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil, glucosamine, alcohol, etc).
