Dermapen Microneedling

About Dermapen Microneedling

Dermapen Microneedling is a cosmetic treatment that uses a handheld device to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin. This process stimulates a natural healing response, promoting collagen and elastin production, resulting in smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.

Overview

Dermapen microneedling is a collagen induction therapy that involves using a small handheld device with multiple fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface.

These micro-injuries stimulate the skin’s natural healing process, leading to collagen production and skin rejuvenation. Dermapen microneedling can be used to improve the appearance of various skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, and texture irregularities.

Used to Treat

  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Acne scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Skin texture
  • Strech marks

WHAT TO EXPECT

During the treatment, a numbing cream can be applied to minimise any discomfort.

The depth of needle penetration will be adjusted according to the specific needs and areas being treated.

After the procedure, the skin may appear red and slightly swollen, (similar to a mild sunburn). This typically subsides within a day or two, and the skin may feel sensitive during this time. The full results will become more noticeable as the skin’s natural healing process progresses in the coming weeks.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR TREATMENT

Before undergoing Dermapen Microneedling, we recommend a consultation with our skin acre expert, Dr Kathryn Holmes to assess your skin and discuss your goals. We will then provide specific pre-treatment instructions, which typically includes avoiding direct sun exposure, discontinuing the use of certain skincare products, and informing us about any medications or skin conditions you may have.

It is important to follow our instructions to ensure the best possible results and minimise any potential risks or complications.
