Overview
CFU (Centreless Focused Ultrasound) Elife from Biotec Italia is the evolution of HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound).
When treating the body, the treatment can reach up to 13mm which reaches the SMAs and the adipose tissue layer within the body. Reaching this layer helps to eliminate localised fat deposits which are most commonly occur in areas such as lower abdomen, arms, and inner thighs. The ultrasound technology also promotes collagen regeneration resulting in skin tightening for areas that are prone to laxity such as knees, elbows and decolletage.
During the treatment, we adjust the setting accordingly to each individual patient’s needs with focusing on the area of concern to provide the most optimal results.

About the Treatment
HOW MANY CFU TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
For both body fat reduction and laxity, we recommended a minimum of x2 treatments a month apart. Then we can reassess if additional treatments are required.
IS THERE RECOVERY TIME NEEDED?
No. There is no recovery time to be considered, and you can resume with your daily activities.
However, keep in mind that there are a few side effects:
- General redness immediately afterwards and the feeling of heat is expected.
- Raised red papules (bumps) can occur on the skin which may take a few days to settle. It is not uncommon to get one or 2 of these, but around 5% of people will experience a wide scattering of these.
- Bruising can occur, but again, in only a small number of people.
- Tenderness in the treated areas may take 1-2 weeks to settle in some people.
