Rejuran® Skin Rejuvenation

What is Rejuran?

Rejuran® is a polynucleotide (PN) treatment used to support skin rejuvenation and improve overall skin quality.

Developed in South Korea, Rejuran contains highly purified polynucleotides derived from salmon DNA. These molecules are biocompatible with human tissue and are used in aesthetic medicine to support the skin’s natural repair processes.

Unlike treatments that add volume or relax muscles, Rejuran is primarily focused on skin quality. It is commonly chosen by patients seeking healthier-looking skin, improved texture, enhanced hydration and a more refreshed appearance.

How Does Rejuran Work?

Polynucleotides are thought to support several biological processes within the skin.

Fibroblast Support

Research suggests that polynucleotides may stimulate fibroblast activity. Fibroblasts are responsible for producing collagen, elastin and other structural components that help maintain skin strength and elasticity.

Support for Skin Repair

Rejuran is designed to support the skin’s natural repair response. This may help improve the quality of the extracellular matrix—the network of proteins and molecules that provides structure and support to the skin.

Tissue Regeneration

Polynucleotides may provide nucleic acid building blocks that support cellular activity and tissue repair through naturally occurring biological pathways.

Anti-Inflammatory Effects

Clinical studies suggest polynucleotides may help modulate inflammatory processes and oxidative stress within the skin, supporting overall skin health.

Current evidence suggests that polynucleotide treatments can contribute to improvements in skin quality and resilience over time.1, 2

Frequently Asked Questions

What Areas Can Be Treated?

Rejuran can be used in a range of areas where skin quality is a concern, including:

  • Full face
  • Under-eye area
  • Lips
  • Neck
  • Décolletage
  • Hands
  • Selected scar concerns

Treatment suitability varies between individuals and will be discussed during your consultation.

What Concerns May Rejuran Help Address?

Patients commonly seek Rejuran treatment for:

  • Fine lines and crepey skin
  • Dull or tired-looking skin
  • Rough texture and enlarged pores
  • Acne scarring and inflammation
  • Under-eye skin quality concerns
  • Lip texture and quality
What Happens During Treatment?

Following a consultation, Rejuran is administered through a series of small applications into the treatment area.

A topical anaesthetic may be applied beforehand to improve comfort.

Treatment typically takes approximately 30–45 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

Small bumps, redness and mild swelling are common immediately after treatment and generally settle within several days.

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

Most patients require a series of treatments to achieve optimal results.

A commonly used protocol involves:

  • Three treatment sessions
  • Approximately four weeks apart
  • Maintenance treatments may be recommended depending on individual goals and response to treatment.
When Will I See Results?

Rejuran works gradually.

Many patients notice improvements in skin texture, hydration and overall skin quality over the weeks and months following treatment.

Results develop progressively and may continue to improve after completion of the initial treatment series.

Is There Any Downtime?

Most patients can return to normal activities shortly after treatment.

Common temporary effects include:

  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Tenderness
  • Small bumps where it was applied

These effects typically resolve within a few days.

As with this type of procedure, there are potential risks and side effects that will be discussed during your consultation.

Is Rejuran Right For Me?

Rejuran may be suitable for patients seeking a treatment focused on skin quality and rejuvenation rather than volume replacement.

A consultation with one of our doctors is required to determine whether Rejuran is appropriate for your individual concerns and treatment goals.
